So after seeing Mr. ChimeTime review a Haitian restaurant in Stone Mountain,I decided to try Haitian food for the first time today. Now I lived in South Florida for several years and never tried Haitian food because I assumed that it was all pork.

Anyway, I did some research and decided to give this restaurant a try. I made my husband drive approximately 24 minutes to retrieve the order. Tell me why the fried turkey order was 98% fat and we were charged a total of $23 and some change for fried turkey fat and rice and plantains. The meat was so fatty that I was applaud they had the audacity to add it to my plate, especially after he requested for the meat to be fried extra crispy. Like, how do you place a whole bunch of fatty meat on a customer and charge them? How dare you? I tried to call and request a refund, but it looks like I have to call my bank because I’m not going for it!!!

Although the black rice was very tasty. The turkey seem like it would’ve tasted great also, if it was actual meat. I also tried to fish patties, and I didn’t care for them a very pungent taste and oily. The patties were also very small for the price point of two dollars apiece.

Overall, I’m very upset that they played in my face and put fat meat on my plate. Also upset because they seem like they have potential to be a decent place if they respected their customers.

I rarely write reviews, so that speaks volumes! I waited 30 minutes for my meal, only to receive three (3) oxtails (I wish I were exaggerating) on my plate for $30.80. The oxtails were extremely tough and difficult to eat, which was disappointing given I only had 3.

The only positive is the flavor of both the oxtails and the rice was good, but it wasn’t enough to redeem the experience. Unfortunately, I WILL NOT be supporting this restaurant again!!!

The food was well seasoned and the plate had sooooo much food! It took me two days to finish! I will definitely return. I am hoping that I can try their patties next time. I ordered Tasso chicken with rice and beans. It comes with salad and plantain.

I usually don’t post negative reviews, but this place is truly disappointing. Primarily because of the service. During our first visit the food took 40 minutes but the food was as asked and tasted great. We revisited a second time and the food took over 1.5 hours for 1 entree…… and the food wasn’t even what we ordered (asked for stewed snapper and received fried). We referred someone after our first visit and the same happened to them. Sad to say, I will not be revisiting and wouldn’t recommend unless you plan on waiting forever for food that you didn’t order. Better systems are needed! It’s a shame because it’s hard finding authentic Caribbean food in ATL….

This place has been on my list for a while now and I’m so happy that I finally got to go. The food was delicious and just like I remember from living in South Florida. I ordered griot and black rice and maybe paid $15. I got a huge portion, enough for about 2 or 3 meals. They gave you a big cup of sauce/gravy and pikliz. The pikliz wasn’t fresh or hot at all which was disappointing…The guy that took my order was very nice. I’ll be back.

The food is edible. However, doesn't have the haitian good flavor. We waited for the food and the griot was cold. A sauce was poured on the griot that taste like chicken sauce. The lambi does not have lambi flavor, it appears like clam. Their spices for the food is out of sequence. Sorry this is quite disappointing. Haitian food is great tasting food. If you want to cook it or open a restaurant, then learn from Haitians who know how to cook. It is that simple. At least learn from others.
I hope this review will ignite your pride to do better.

Called in an order… I get there and still have to wait another 20-30mins since they decided to not start it till I showed up. Not to mention they I got there 30-35mins after I placed the phone order. No sense of urgency from the employee. This was enough to make sure I never go back. Also the portion of meat was not enough for the price.
