I came to urgencias twice already - once when I was pregnant and bleeding, and once with my 2-month-old son. Neither of these cases we were helped. First time it was at night so I could sort of understand they didn't have an obstetrician on call. But the second time was 10am and you're telling me there is no pediatría What doctors *does* this hospital have? What is the point of having a new hospital if I have to drive 45 min (or 2 hours, depending on the traffic) to Costa del Sol with everything anyway? What if it was a life or death emergency?

Superb service. I have nothing but complete admiration for the exceptional service I received after being referred to urgencias by my doctor. The staff were friendly, patient and had excellent interpersonal skills. I was seen by triage within 5 minutes of arrival. Seen my a doctor and treated within another 30 minutes. This is a shining example of how state health should and can be run.

I don't understand the bad reviews at all! I went to the emergency on a holiday and went straight to registration. I hadn't even finished registering when I was called into the first treatment room, where general values ​​like blood pressure, temperature, etc. were taken. Then, after a short wait, I was examined. The female doctor was very nice and competent and, after a quick examination and lab test, was able to identify my problem. Everything is very well organized and it's easy to find your way around. Most emergency units in the EU could take this as a model, the waiting times are particularly excellent for a public hospital - elsewhere it always takes hours! Some people aren't even aware of what they have here, which is a shame! An absolute win for Estepona!

Last night I had to attend the emergency department of our new Hospital de Alta Resolution in Estepona. From the moment I arrived, presented my Tarjeta Sanitaria at the reception everything went fast efficient like clockwork. I was impressed by the newest technology. Within 2 minutes I was attended. I thank all the kind and helpful nurses and especially Dr Ruben. It was a very positive experience.

I can't quite work out what they actually do at this hospital! They don't seem to deal with any broken bones or even put a plaster cast on which I would have thought was standard at any hospital. Instead they send you to Marbella hospital which is completely in the other direction where you will wait a good 8+ hours in A&E that's on a good day.

I attended A&E to say the experience was brilliant is an understatement.

Great staff Dr's great attitude efficient clean and incredibly helpful.

Sadly not being part of the EU we had to pay but we'll worth it.

While on vacation from Denmark we needed a prescription for the baby's eye infection. Please bring the passport or EU id-card of the patient and you can see the doctor for free. Much appreciated. Great service.

My experience has been first class at this hospital on several occasions and recently my consultant was fantastic and spoke perfect English which for medical issues was a relief. I made the mistake of asking if we could speak English at the reception and the response was less than welcoming hence only 4 stars. I mentioned to my Doctor how quick (and quiet) it was and he responded ‘too quiet’ and we shared a joke about flowers in Estepona, such a shame.
