IMED Valencia can be extremly unsafe for patients due to a systemic failure in basic medical continuity. The clinic’s management allows situations where diagnostic tests are performed but never professionally reviewed, leaving patients without any interpretation or clinical feedback for up to a year.

Here is what happened…
• I booked an appointment weeks in advance through IMED’s system and attended a consultation.
• The doctor ordered several diagnostic tests, which I completed at the same facility shortly after.
• Once the results were ready, I contacted the hospital to schedule the follow-up to review them.
• The response was that the next available appointment with that doctor would be approximately ONE year later.
• No substitute clinician was offered. No process existed for reviewing results with another doctor. No written medical summary or interpretation was provided.
• I called several times to clarify whether another specialist could take over. Each time, staff explained that “only the same doctor” could comment on results, even if she was unavailable for twelve months.

At that point, I realized the issue wasn’t an isolated scheduling mistake but a structural operational breakdown. The patient is FULLY responsible for chasing the system, and the system offers no continuity of care.

Operationally, the experience reinforces that perception…
• The check-in area on each floor is chronically overcrowded. Even with an appointment, waiting times are excessive.
• The IMED app, while polished, is disconnected from real operations. It shows booked appointments but cannot resolve scheduling or follow-up issues.
• The administrative staff appear under intense pressure, navigating a process that lacks integration between medical, administrative, and digital workflows.

The result is an organization that looks modern but functions like a fragmented bureaucracy… a polished front masking deep managerial negligence.

They literally break the law. From a regulatory standpoint, this contradicts the Spanish Patient Autonomy Law (Ley 41/2002), which mandates that all healthcare providers, INCLUDING private ones, guarantee access to adequate information, medical documentation, and coordinated follow-up under a responsible physician.

A year-long delay in reviewing test results effectively nullifies those obligations and creates tangible patient safety risks.

IMED’s management should urgently investigate how this systemic gap persists, integrate its digital and administrative systems, and guarantee that all patients can have diagnostic results reviewed by a qualified doctor within a reasonable period. You are not running an amusement park or art museum! This is a place where patients are supposed to get care of high quality and fast.

Until such reforms are implemented, patients can consider IMED Valencia unsafe for continuous medical care.

Went to get stitches taken out and they flat-out refused because “it wasn’t done here.” Seriously, what kind of excuse is that? Another big private hospital had no problem doing it. I pushed, but the receptionist lazily called the doctor and asked in a way that made it obvious the answer would be no. What kind of useless service is that? Zero effort, zero initiative. Then they try to justify it by saying they need paperwork from the original doctor. we actually had the report from France, but nobody even bothered to ask for it. Instead, they just brushed us off and sent us away. Hospital should educate their receptionists!

It’s absolutely a nice hospital to me, both facility-wise and the service. As a foreigner with very limited vocabulary in Spanish, I’m always worried about the medical visit here. But the staff at the reception counter are super friendly and willing to help. One of them, Laura has left me impression for her warm greetings to every patient at her desk. The other lady even took me to the right place since I didn’t understand her. Embarrassed 🙁 The nurses here are young, energetic and professional. I’ve found that they are more proficient in English than the doctors. The app is undoubtedly another value added service. You can make an appointment, check the clinical results and set up the alert with it.

-1 stars if i could, yes it is true, i was quite shocked and I have travelled all over the world and never have experienced this bad of a hospital, this place is not worth the money at all, i actually left a lot worse than when i entered. I don't think the hospital staff are actually trained or educated, i fear for anyone who may end up here, i would avoid at all costs, the receptionist were lovely though and the building is new, but put it this way, i have never had a worse experience and the pain from the bloods drawn was crazy, there was a lot of blood everywhere and she had a few attempts just to find a vein, even Bali was better than this, actually Bali was really amazing compared to this. Also the IV drip didn't actually work, I was going to say something but i just wanted out 😬

My wife was admitted to the emergency department due to inflamed lymph nodes. The emergency doctor scheduled an appointment with a general practitioner for additional tests and consultation. That doctor was Dr. Natalia Collado Hueso, who immediately began making accusations, speaking rudely, and didn’t even examine my wife. I have no idea on which dumpster you found this doctor, but she should not be working with people.

Went to have stitches taken out and they turned us away because they “didnt do it” , what kind of service/excuse is that? how come another big private hospital did it ? I insisted for a while but the receptionist called the doctor and asked “no se puede, verdad?” What kind of stupid questioning is that Of course the doctor is gonna say no if you ask it like that. The receptionists are quite lazy! And have no sense of service!

EDIT: They replied to my review and said that they cannot perform something that was not treated by them. The stitches were done in France and we have an informe about removing the stitches but the receptionists didn’t ask for it. They just simply turned us away!!!

At the 11.08.25 I came to this clinic and passed the cariotipo test. After more than a month I still don’t have any results. I came to this clinic twice — first they said “it will be ready in a week”, today they said “we don’t know anything about your test, you should talk to the manager who - guess what? - not here today. I also called to the hotline and manager there said “yes, I see your test and it’s not ready, I will make a warn to laboratory to make it faster. When they do it? I don’t know. - said manager. Isn’t the blood gone after a month? No one knows. And no one told me “sorry we messed up” even once. This is the test I payed 100€ for. Rudiculous.
