Dr. Monica Beatriz Figueroa Caiche is one of the worst doctors I’ve ever experienced. If she has no idea about one medical condition, don’t pretend like she knows and prescribes A WRONG MEDICINE for me! That’s harmful for a breastfeeding mother! She has less knowledge about postpartum health than average people. Worse than ChatGPT, at least AI would not prescribe a harmful medication for patients.

I had an appointment with Dr. Fernandez Peñuela, Randolfo Alfonso to consult on my hypertension. My blood pressure was 134/98 on the site and he said the pressure was not high at all?! And I HAD TO TELL HIM my diastolic pressure is way more higher than normal. Either he treated me as a fool or he had no idea about the basic knowledge of physiology. CAN YOU HIRE SOMEONE WHO’S QUALIFIED TO BE A DOCTOR?

I have used both of the IMED Gandia hospital locations a number of times in the last four years, since retiring to Spain from England. I am very impressed with the speed of getting an appointment for general problems and very impressed with the services given for smears, mammograms, and check ups. I’ve had two emergency situations where I’ve needed stitches and further assistance and I was seen within 15 minutes, once through the 5 min check in queue. My Spanish is unfortunately very basic, but I have managed to be treated by being able to communicate with the use of google translate and pointing and miming! In emergency situations. For most appointments I ask at reception for a English speaking doctor where possible and this has been granted 80 percent of the time. I am very happy with their service and would recommend. I am grateful that the staff try very hard to communicate with me, even when they don’t speak English, they are patient and don’t make you feel bad for using Google translate when needed.

I saw doctor Natalia Fajardo who speaks very good English and she was amazing, very helpful and compassionate.
The receptionists were very friendly and helpful.
I did not have to wait long.
The hospital was clean and tidy.
I still have appointments there but overall I am very happy with the level of care I have received so far.

If you can get past the miserable receptionist and their unwillingness to help then the facilities are ok. Don’t even bother trying to go through the insurer as emails don’t make it here. The doctors are nice and the facilities are clean, you do need the patience of a saint though.

Gernerally, very hugh rate of inexperienced medics and nurses at IMED. I wouldn't have expect better because almost 85% of IMED medical & nursing staffs are young without appropriate field experience. My personal experience is recent and went HORRIBLE !

Post my blood analysis I have a badly swollen and bruised arm for almost one week. I had done analysis in undeveloped countries but never went through what I had seen at IMED.

Those types of unprofessionals and incompetents meducs & nurses should be expelled because IMED is putting the lives of its patients at major risks. I hope that IMED board of directors pays better attention to safty and increasing the quality of work/service rather than just focusing on increasing revenues!!
